(Hilton Head, S.C.) – The Dickinson men's tennis team won its second match of the season, improving to 2-3 with a 5-2 win over Albion College.
The Red Devils jumped out to a 2-1 lead after doubles. Clark Chapman (Princeton, N.J./Montgomery) and Joey Frank (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla./Boca Raton) rolled to an 8-1 win in the second doubles flight.
Jackson Claudio (Upper Montclair, N.J./Montclair) and Steven Kaplan (Pelham, N.Y./Pelham) blanked the Britons, 8-0, in the third flight.
Albion rallied, winning the first and second singles flights. The Red Devils finished strong, claiming four of the final five matches.
Claudio won the third flight, (6-1, 6-0) and Kaplan went (6-0, 6-1) in the fourth. Junior Josh Kaseff (Westport, Conn./Staples) closed out the day with a (6-0, 6-2) win in the sixth flight.
Albion slips to 3-5 overall while the Red Devils improve to 2-3. The Red Devils return north next week, and travel to Division I Loyola, on Wednesday afternoon.
