Box Score

(Swarthmore, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's lacrosse team climbed back into the win column with a 9-3 decision at Swarthmore College on Saturday afternoon.

The Red Devils scored the first four goals of the game to take a 4-1 advantage into halftime. Loyola Blakefield alums, Tyler Llewellyn (Cockeysville, Md./Loyola Blakefield) and Brian Cannon (Reisterstown, Md./Loyola Blakefield) put the Devils on the board in the first quarter.

Senior Brian Gleason (Darien, Conn./Darien) and junior Brett Parker (Baltimore, Md./St. Paul's School) tallied assists in the opening quarter as the Devils held a 2-0 lead after one.

Gleason fed Cannon for a 3-0 advantage, with 11:54 remaining in the second period. Cannon then dished out an assist to Kobi Frankel (Kinnelon, N.J./Kinnelon), at the 9:40 mark.

Jonathan Malloy capitalized on a Dickinson penalty to put an extra-man goal on the board, with 3:23 to play in the first half.

The Red Devils answered with a man-up goal to open the third quarter. Colin Farrell (Newtown Square, Pa./Malvern) finished an assist from Gleason at the 13:29 mark.

That triggered a four-goal run for the Devils to stretch the margin to 8-1, with just over five minutes to play in the third quarter. Parker found Greg Shildkrout (Dresher, Pa./Germantown Academy) before Frankel and Llewellyn tallied unassisted markers.

Ian Lukasqewicz closed out the third with a goal for the Garnet to make the score 8-2. Molloy struck again, early in the fourth quarter. Will Scott (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus) found Reid Barger (Baldwin, Md./Gilman) on a man-up opportunity to close out the scoring.
