Rick Hopkins (Egg Harbor Twp, N.J./Holy Spirit) reached on a fielder's choice as Werner beat out a throw to third. Mitch Helmandollar (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) drew and intentional walk to load the bases.
Benn Parker (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) reached as Nathan Booth made a strong play to get Werner out at home. That set the stage from Sanders heroics, as he drove a full-count pitch into left field to score pinch-runner Conor Foote (Narbeth, Pa./Lower Merion) with a walk-off single.
Sanders went 2-for-5 while Werner went 2-for-3 on the day with a sacrifice bunt. Mark Adams scored twice with a double.
