(Baltimore, Md.) – The Dickinson men's tennis team dropped a 6-3 setback at #10-ranked Johns Hopkins University on Sunday. The Red Devils jumped out to an early lead, claiming two of three doubles matches. The Blue Jays are ranked 10th nationally, and third in the Atlantic South Region.
The Red Devils survived a battle in the top flight as Clark Chapman (Princeton, N.J./Montgomery) and Steven Kaplan (Pelham, N.Y./Pelham Memorial) held on for an 8-6 decision.
Josh Kaseff (Westport, Conn./Staples) and Evan Davis (Westport, Conn./Staples) claimed the third flight, 8-4.
Chapman earned the Devils' third point with a singles win in the third flight, taking the match (6-1, 0-6, 12-10).
The Red Devils slip to 1-3 and 0-1 in the Centennial Conference. They are scheduled to travel to McDaniel College on Tuesday afternoon for a 4:00 pm match.
