(Gettysburg, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's tennis team, ranked 18th in the Atlantic South Region, rolled to a 9-0 win over Gettysburg to improve to 3-1 in the Centennial Conference.
Steven Kaplan (Pelham, N.Y./Pelham Memorial) and Josh Kaseff (Westport, Conn./Staples) overcame a 7-6 deficit to win the top doubles flight, 9-7. Joey Frank (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla./Boca Raton) and Samuel Loring (New York, N.Y./Blair Academy) claimed an 8-2 decision at number two.
Shawn Diniz (Upper Saddle River, N.J./Northern Highlands) and Nicholas Reese (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Lebanon) rallied from 4-1 down, to win the third flight 8-4.
Kaplan went 7-5, 6-1 at number one singles while Frank captured a three-set match in the second flight, 6-1, 5-7, 10-5. Kaseff won the third, 6-1, 6-3, and Diniz survived a marathon at the number four spot (6-2, 5-7, 12-10).
Loring earned the point at five, 6-0, 6-1 with John Kneisley (Arlington, Va./Yorktown) closing out the match, 6-2, 6-2.
The Red Devils will look to keep the momentum tomorrow afternoon, hosting Ursinus College at 3:30 pm.
