(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's tennis team suffered a 7-2 setback to Franklin & Marshall on Saturday, but still held on to a playoff spot in next week's Centennial Conference Championship.
The Diplomats led 3-0 after doubles, edging the Devils 8-6, 8-4, 8-6. Sophomore Clark Chapman (Princeton, N.J./Montgomery) won the third singles flight in straight sets, 6-2, 6-0. Senior Josh Kaseff (Westport, Conn./Staples) made the most of senior day, winning his match, 6-4, 6-2.
The Diplomats improve to 8-8 overall and 6-3 in the conference. The Red Devils slip to 8-5 and also move to 6-3. Dickinson earns the #5-seed on the conference playoffs, they travel to Haverford College on Wednesday for the first round.
