(Annapolis, Md.) – The Dickinson women's squash team opened the season at the Navy Round Robin on Saturday at the U.S. Naval Academy.

The Red Devils suffered a 9-0 loss to the University of Virginia. Domenica Romo (Ambato, Ecuador/Colegio Atenas) played a strong match in the second flight, falling (15-13, 13-11, 11-5).

Sophomore Alanis Perez (New Canaan, Conn./Canterbury School) took a set in the sixth flight and Hedvika Suchankova (Olomouc, Czech Republic/St. Michael's) battled in the top flight (11-8, 11-9, 11-6).

The Red Devils travel to the Cornell University Round Robin next weekend.
