(Haverford, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision at Haverford College on Saturday. The 'Fords, ranked 17th in the region, improved to 10-1 overall and 4-0 in the Centennial Conference.
Senior Joey Frank (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla./Boca Raton) won the top singles flight, outlasting Dais Nakayama in three sets, (4-6, 7-5, 6-2).
Samuel Loring (New York, N.Y./Blair Academy) and Shawn Diniz (Upper Saddle River, N.J./Northern Highlands) earned the other point, winning the third doubles flight, 8-6.
First-year Derek Chen (Cranbury Township, Pa./Cranbury Township) went three sets in the fourth, falling (6-2, 3-6, 6-1). Steven Kaplan (Pelham, N.Y./Pelham Memorial) suffered a (6-2, 6-3) setback in the third flight.
The Red Devils slip to 3-6 overall and 2-2 in the Centennial Conference. They return home to face Gettysburg College on Tuesday at 4:00 pm.
