Men's T&F Ends Semester Strong at Haverford

(Haverford, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's indoor track & field team turned in some strong performances at the Haverford College Holiday Invitational on Saturday.

First-year Garrett Randall (Gwynn Oak, Md./Loyola-Blakefield) had a solid day, winning the 60 meter dash (7.34), and placing second in the 200 meters (24.24) and with the 4x200 relay. He ran the lead leg as they clocked a time of 1:36.84.

Michael Murphy (West Pittston, Pa./Wyoming Area) and Ryan Murphy (West Pittston, Pa./Wyoming Area) ran the middle legs of the 4x200 relay. Ryan won the 200 meters with a time of 24.19 and placed fourth in the 60-meter dash (7.52). Michael clocked a time of 24.40 to claim third in the 200 and was sixth in the 60 with a mark of 7.10.

Senior Marcus Robinson (Bowie, Md./St. Mary's Ryken) ran the anchor leg of the 4x200 relay and finished second in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.43.

The Red Devils claimed the top nine spots in the 5000 meters, led by sophomore Bryce Descavish (Ebensburg, Pa./Central Cambria) in first (15:24.12) while Duncan Hopkins (Lancaster, Pa./JP McCaskey) placed second and senior Nathan Udell (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis) captured the bronze.

Junior Eric Herrmann (Saint James, N.Y./Smithtown) ran to the win in the mile, crossing the line in 4:26.97. He anchored the second place 4x400 relay to a time of 3:49.25. First-year Chris Harrison (Easton, Md./Easton) ran the lead leg, adding a top-10 finish in the 400 meters.

Senior Matt Pasquali (Guilderland, N.Y./Guilderland) was ninth in the 400 and joined Miles Lindsey (Herndon, Va./Oakton) to round out the 4x400 relay. Lindsey also had fourth-place showings in the 200 and 400-meter events.

Senior Devin Glasson (Canton, Conn./Canton) had a throw of 14.36 meters to place third in the shot put. Robert Pearl (Sea Ranch Lakes, Fla./Pine Crest), Ellis Kimmel (Philadelphia, Pa./Central) and Francisco Villarreal (Carson, Calif./Carson) placed sixth, seventh and eighth, respectively.

First-year Ben Sobel (Hanover, N.H./Hanover) tied for seventh in the high jump and sophomore Adam Gamber (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) cleared 3.20 meters to place eighth in the pole vault.

The Red Devils return to action on January 26, traveling to the Bison Open at Bucknell University.
