(Swarthmore, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to host Swarthmore College on Saturday afternoon. The Garnet are ranked 37th-nationally and ninth in the Atlantic South Regional poll.
Swarthmore turned in some strong performances to lead, 3-0, at the end of doubles, surrendering just three points.
Junior Samuel Loring (New York, N.Y./Blair Academy) battled in a tough match in the third singles flight, falling 6-4, 6-1. Derek Chen (Cranbury Twp., Pa./Cranbury Twp.) had a strong showing in the second, facing #22-ranked John Larkin.
The Red Devils slip to 1-6 on the season and 0-2 in the Centennial Conference. They are scheduled to travel to Franklin & Marshall for a 4:00 pm start on Wednesday.
