(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's tennis team dropped a heartbreaker on Saturday, falling to visiting Ursinus College, 5-4, at the Hays Tennis Courts.
The Red Devils showed well in doubles, leading 2-1 with wins from Shawn Diniz (Upper Saddle River, N.J./Northern Highlands) and Samuel Loring (New York, N.Y./Blair Academy) at number one spot, and Jackson Claudio (Upper Montclair, N.J./Montclair) and Nick Reese (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Lebanon) in the third flight.
Claudio and Reese won 8-1 while Claudio earned another point in the second singles flight (6-3, 6-2). Diniz and Loring combined for an 8-3 decision while Loring claimed the third singles flight as well, (6-4, 6-2).
Ursinus improves to 10-3 overall and 3-2 in the Centennial Conference. The Red Devils slip to 1-8 overall and 0-4 in the CC. They travel to McDaniel College on Tuesday to face the Green Terror at 4:00 pm.
