Descavish Wins 5000 at York Twilight Invite

(York, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's track & field team traveled to the York College Twilight Invitational on Wednesday night.

Junior Eric Herrmann (Saint James, N.Y./Smithtown) ran to a win in the 800 meters, posting a time of 1:57.08 and placed second in the 1500 meters with a mark of 4:06.20.

Sophomore Bryce Descavish (Ebensburg, Pa./Central Cambria) won the 5000 meters with a time of 14:56.86.

First-year Garrett Randall (Gwynn Oak, Md./Loyola-Blakefield) clocked a time of 11.64 to place sixth in the 100 meters and went 24.11 to add a top 20 finish in the 200. 

In the shot put senior Devin Glasson (Canton, Conn./Canton) finished second overall with a throw of 13.82 meters while sophomore Robert Pearl (Sea Ranch Lakes, Fla./Pine Crest) went 11.95 meters to place 11th. Glasson was second in the hammer throw with a distance of 40.08 meters with Pearl placing eighth with a throw of 33.88.

Junior Zach Popkin (Washington, D.C./Maret School) had a top 20 showing in the long jump, placing 14th with a distance of 5.06 meters.

The Red Devils are next scheduled to compete on Saturday, April 7 at the Muhlenberg Invitational. Events are scheduled to begin at 10:00 am.
