(Gettysburg, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's tennis team overcame a 2-1 deficit after doubles to claim a 6-3 Centennial Conference win at Gettysburg on Wednesday afternoon.
Seniors Shawn Diniz (Upper Saddle River, N.J./Northern Highlands) and Samuel Loring (New York, N.Y./Blair Academy) earned the Devils' point in doubles, surviving a tight 9-7 match in the top flight. Loring added his second point of the day, claiming third singles (6-2, 5-7, 6-2).
Senior Nick Reese (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Lebanon) clinched the match with a singles win in the sixth flight, overcoming a tough start for a (2-6, 6-1, 6-2) victory.
Junior Derek Chen (Cranbury Township, Pa./Cranbury Township) and first-year Joey Bolanos (San Salvador, El Salvador/Escuela Americans) posted straight set wins in the second and fourth flights.
The Red Devils improve to 8-7 overall and 2-5 in the Centennial Conference. They are on the road on Saturday, traveling to Haverford College for a 12:00 pm start.
