(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's tennis team had a tough match with visiting #21-ranked Swarthmore College on Friday afternoon, falling 9-0.
The Red Devils had a strong showing in doubles as Shawn Diniz (Upper Saddle River, N.J./Northern Highlands) and Samuel Loring (New York, N.Y./New York) battled in an 8-6 setback in the top flight.
Derek Chen (Cranbury Township, N.J./Cranbury Township) and Peter Schmidt (Morris Plains, N.J./Laurel Springs) dropped a hard fought 8-5 decision at number two.
Schmidt played to a 6-4, 6-1 setback in the second singles flight while Diniz fell 6-3, 6-3 in the top flight.
The Red Devils are right back in action tomorrow, traveling to Ursinus College for a double-header with the women's team.
