(Collegeville, Pa.) – The Dickinson men's tennis team suffered a 9-0 setback at Ursinus College on Saturday after unfavorable conditions moved the match indoors.
Derek Chen (Cranbury Township, Pa./Cranbury Township) and Bryce Perritt (Allentown, Pa./Lawrenceville) put up a challenge at second doubles, falling 9-7 while Shawn Diniz (Upper Saddle River, N.J./Northern Highlands) and Samuel Loring (New York, N.Y./Blair Academy) dropped the top flight, 8-4.
Senior Nick Reese (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Lebanon) and first-year Vincent Tover Dias (Fort Myers, Fla./Fort Myers) had strong showings in singles, falling 9-7 and 8-5.
The Bears improve to 9-4 overall and 3-2 in the Centennial Conference. They Red Devils slip to 6-5 on the year and 0-3 in conference play. Dickinson returns home to face McDaniel College on Tuesday at 4:00 pm.
