EDWARDSVILLE, Pa. - The Dickinson men's tennis team began their 2022 spring slate with a very competitive and hard-fought 5-4 road loss to Wilkes University on Sunday afternoon at the Ralston Athletic Complex.
Doubles (Wilkes 2-1)
The pair of Romano De Caprio and Will Lewis at the second flight picked up a convincing 8-0 win over Jacob Bosler and Rodniel Senson. The other two doubles matches were tightly contested with the Red and White coming up on the shortend of both contests 8-6 (Garrick Adams and Levi Veleanu), while Florian Anderson and DJ Finnell dropped an 8-7 decision.
Singles (Tied 3-3)
Adams fell at the number one slot to Cole Gibson (6-3, 6-3). The next three battles went to the Devils with De Caprio winning at the second flight (7-5, 6-2), Veleanu shutout his opponent at the number three spot (6-0, 6-0), and Lewis taking care of business at four (6-2, 7-5). Anderson fell short of Bosler at the number five slot 6-1 and 6-1. Finnell tried to rally back after dropping the first set 6-3 to Connor Frey by winning the second 6-4. However, the decisive third went the way of Frey 6-0 to secure the match for the Colonels.

Dickinson (1-1) continues their season on Sunday, March 13th against St. Francis (Ind.) in Florida. First serve is set for 4 p.m.
