CARLISLE, Pa. – The No. 8 Dickinson men's lacrosse team downed Centennial Conference rival No. 17 Gettysburg College on Wednesday afternoon, 15-9. Eight different Red Devils tallied markers in the contest, while Skyler Schluter led the way with seven total points.

Schluter opened the scoring for the Red Devils less than 20 seconds into the contest, netting the game's opening tally off an assist from Owen Porter to put the Red Devils up 1-0. Schluter helped to wrap up the scoring for the quarter as he dished a pass to Will Farrell, who netted his second of the afternoon after a marker from Jack Dunleavy to help Dickinson take a 4-2 lead after the opening frame.   

Dickinson managed to open the game up in the second quarter with a five-goal frame as five different members of the Red and White found the back of the goal including two from both Matt Thurston and Sam Campbell. Schluter opened the quarter with his second of the day to push the lead to 5-2. After Gettysburg managed to cut it to two, 5-3 thanks to Griffin Gallagher the duo of Thurston and Campbell went to work embarking on a 4-0 run to push the lead to 9-3. Thurston netted two man-up goals fishing off passes from Tucker Booth and Schluter, While Campbell bookended the scoring frenzy with two unassisted goals of his own to extend the margin to 9-4 at the break. 

Dunleavy and Gallagher got the Bullets off and running in the third as the visitors scored twice in the opening six minutes to trim the gap to 9-6. However, Red Devils answered back scoring three of the next four as Ethan Gess and Jake Giotto each finished off passes from Schluter pushing the advantage out to five at 12-7. However, two late goals in the final 30-seconds for Gettysburg made it a 12-9 game heading into the final 15 minutes. 

The fourth quarter was all Dickinson as the defense locked down holding the Bullets scoreless over the final 15 minutes of the game. Offensively, three different players netted tallies including Schluter, who this time around finished off a pass from Giotto to push the lead to 13-9. Defensemen Teddy Macfarlane also found the back of the net in transition to extend the lead before Griffin Moore capped the scoring for the afternoon just over a minute later to set the 15-9 final.

With the win, the Red Devils (14-0, 7-0) locked up the top seed and home-field advantage in the Centennial Conference Tournament. Dickinson travels to Spark, Maryland, and the U.S. Lacrosse Facility on Sunday afternoon to battle the Seahawks of St. Mary's College of Maryland in an out-of-conference matchup beginning at 1 p.m.
