Inside the Devils Den
Recapping Last Week
The Devils moved the ball well on their opening two drives of the games against Susquehanna University last weekend. However, the Red and White were held off the scoreboard allowing the nationally-ranked River Hawks to find their stride as they opened up a 21-0 halftime lead en route to a convincing 45-0 victory to ruin not Dickinson's home opener, but also Homecoming in Carlisle.

Home Away From Home
Gill Field has become a quite comfortable venue for Dickinson as the Devils have won four of the last five meetings in Westminster, including a 27-20 victory their last trip down there on October 6, 2018.

My-Own-A Offense
Matt Maiona continues to be the man under center for DC as he will take the reigns for the Red and White for the third consecutive game after throwing for 147 yards last weekend on 19-of-31 passing. He was held without a touchdown and was sacked and picked off two times.

Top Targets
Once again Maiona was spreading the wealth around hitting six different targets against the River Hawks. Four of the receivers hauled in multiple passes with Princeton Douglass making six grabs for 45 yards. Tailback Diante Ball reeled in five for 26, while Johnny Knight and Bryce Peterson each recorded four catches for 45 and 26 yards respectively. The duo of Bobby Markey and Andrew Reale combined for two receptions for a dozen yards.

Ground Attack
For the third time this season the Red and White found it tough sledding to get a ground game going as the tough Hawks defense limited them to just 86 yards rushing. Ball was the leading rusher toting the rock a team-high 15 times for 39 yards. Douglass posted 30 on three touches to average 10.0 yards per carry. Maiona took off six times from the pocket accounting for 17 yards.

Defense is Strong
Dickinson struggled a little bit on Saturday slowing down the River Hawks as the visitors used a very balanced attack to total 473 yard (217 rush, 256 pass). Leading the Devils defense was Alex Sulin who racked up nine tackles (six solo) to go along with 0.5 tackles for loss. Neville Krueger and Tanner Long each had eight stops, while Bram Leys added seven, including 1.5 for loss. In the secondary the duo of Jason Hollinger and Ellis Tompkins combined for 11 hits and three pass breakups. Anton Jacobs and Justin Rocha chipped in five and four stops respectively.

The Terrifying Green Terror
McDaniel comes into Saturday's contest after having a rough go against Muhlenberg last weekend as they fell behind 41-0, before picking up a fourth quarter TD pass from Eric Grinwis to Dre Carter setting the 41-7 final. On the day Grinwis went 17-of-28 for 162 with a score and a pair of picks. A pair of receivers recorded five catches with Sean Carter and Hunter Sigler accounting for 112 yards, while on the ground Trent Gaskins carried 16 times for 29 yards. So far on the season Grinwis has totaled 722 yards through the air on 63-of-96 passing with two TDs and five interceptions. He has four different targets that have caught ten or more passes with Wesley Nchinda leading the way with 17 grabs for 157 yards. Sigler has recorded the most yardage with 234, followed by Carter at 161. On the ground the Green Terror have a two-headed tandam led by Gaskins on 178 yards with five TDs on 65 touches, while D. Carter has 136 thanks to 47 touches. Defensively, three players have 20 or more tackles as Mike Dunn leads the way with 30, including three stops for loss. Alex Brown and Habeeb Baba have 29 and 20 stops respectively. Another man that the Devils O-Line will have to contain is Mamut Conteh and his eight tackles for loss and three-and-a-half sacks. Jevin Tranquillo has the only two picks for McDaniel on the campaign so far.
