CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson men's tennis team kicked off their Centennial Conference slate on Wednesday afternoon with a visit from the rival Franklin & Marshall College to the Hays Tennis Courts. Unfortunately, for the Red and White the visitors left Carlisle with an 8-1 victory.
Doubles (Diplomats 2-1)
The Devils lone win of the match came at the top spot where
Garrick Adams and
Will Lewis had just enough to topple Zac Ashtiani and Luke Brodsky by a score 8-6. The duo of
Thomas Griffin and
Levi Veleanu were done in by the unit of Gonzalo Gentou and Pedro Norte 8-3, while
Florian Anderson and
DJ Finnell fell 2-8 to Anthony Casale and Isaac Rockower.
Singles (Diplomats 6-0)
Dickinson's best chance to claim a point was at number two when Griffin and Rockower traded 6-3 wins in the first two sets, before Rockower grabbed the third 5-10. Veleanu gave everything he could in the first against Gentou, but ultimately fell 5-7, 2-6. First-Year
Spencer Goodman took three games at the sixth slot versus Casale in a 2-6, 1-6 setback. Adams (1st) and Lewis (4th) each dropped 2-6, 0-6 decisions to Ashtiani and Brodsky respectively. Finnell was unfortunately blanked by Norte (0-6, 0-6).

Dickinson (2-6, 0-1 Centennial) returns to action on Friday afternoon at 3pm when they host Wilkes University in a non-conference match.
