WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Dickinson men's squash team ended their three-day, three-match with rough 9-0 loss to the host Williams College Ephs inside the the Simon Squash Center.
Inside the Match
The Red and White had two solid chances to collect a point in the match when both
Joe Smythe and
Mark Naguib needed to go the full five games with their opponents. First, Smythe playing at number one dropped a hard-fought first game to Nick Agger (12-10), before rallying back to grab the next two 11-7. Unfortunately, Agger seized the fourth (11-6) and fifth (11-5) to take the match. Then, in the third spot Naguib used wins of 11-9 and 11-8 to hold a 2-0 lead on Asher Leavy, but then the Eph collected wins of 11-2, 11-6 and 16-14 to overcome the hole. The only other Devil to claim a game was
Kobe Fleming who took a 1-0 edge against Alex Akbari, before losing the ensuing three games to suffer the 3-1 setback.
