SELINSGROVE, Pa. - The Susquehanna University and Dickinson women's soccer teams combined for 25 shots (11 on target) Wednesday night at Sassafras Field, but thanks to the strong work of goalkeepers
Sophia Kavulich and Katie Henchy the two sides played to a 0-0 non-conference draw.
- The Devils were on the attack early as Lila Brown, Mckenna Gross, Bridget Merkel and Ava Prisco combined for five shots over the opening 20 minutes leading to one stop for Henchy.
- It would take until the 27th minutes for Susquehanna to tally their first chance when Ava Billmeyer was shutdown by Kavulich.Â
- The teams combined for four shots over the final 15 minutes with Charlotte Hare and Maddie St. Amand tasking Henchy with making one save, while Kavulich denied both Amelia Kopp and Kalie Quaglia.
- Dickinson recorded the first two chances of the frame, unfortunately neither Gross or Prisco was able to bother Henchy.
- At the other end of the pitch Quaglia sent a pair of shots wide left of Kavulich as the match entered the 62nd minute.
- Two minutes later Merkel asked a question of Henchy who was up to the task, before Kavulich shutdown Billmeyer during the 68th.
- Brown, Gross and Merkel would each take one more shot tasking Henchy into one more save.
- The River Hawks had all the pressure over the final six minutes, but Kavulich notched three more stops to see out the 0-0 draw.
- Shots - Gross, Merkel and Prisco (3)
- Saves - Kavulich (7)
- Shots - Kopp (4), Billmeyer and Quaglia (3)
- Saves - Henchy (4)
