CARLISLE, Pa. - Having not played since October 5th the Dickinson men's tennis team showed no rust in their game as they pounded the visiting Albright College Lions by a score of 9-0 on Thursday afternoon in non-conference action at the Hays Tennis Courts.
Doubles (DEVILS 3-0)
Things began about as well as they could for the Red and White as the second pair of
Eddy Chow and
Romano De Caprio posted an 8-0 shutout of Adam Good and Clay Lewandowski. The other two Dickinson pairs of
DJ Finnell and
Levi Veleanu (1st) along with
Drew Allen andÂ
Florian Anderson collected victories of 8-2 and 8-3 respectively.
Singles (DEVILS 6-0)
Three members of the Red and White allowed their opponents to win just two games in their matchups as Finnell playing at three knocked off Gerardo Sanchez by scores of 6-1, 6-1. The fifth and sixth spots occupied by Allen and
Aidan MacIntosh won by the same scorelines just flipped around at 6-2, 6-0 and 6-0, 6-2. Not to be outdone De Caprio in the number two slot allowed Fox Bryan to grab just one extra game going 6-2, 6-1. The top man Veleanu also claimed a straight set victory against Good (6-1, 6-4). The only match to go the distance featured Chow and Dylan Huha at number four where the two traded sets, before Chow won the super tiebreaker by a 10-6 margin.
Next on the Court
Dickinson (5-0) will now head to Hilton Head, S.C. over Spring Break to continue their season. The Red and White will kickoff their slate on Sunday morning at 11am when they battle Stevenson University.
