LANCASTER, Pa. - The Dickinson men's tennis team suffered a 9-0 defeat to the Franklin & Marshall College Diplomats on Tuesday afternoon in Centennial Conference action indoors at the Alumni Sports & Fitness Center.
Doubles (Diplomats 3-0)
At the top spot the duo of
DJ Finnell and
Levi Veleanu gave it their all, but fell short of Zac Ashtiani and Anthony Casale by a score of 8-5. The third unit of
Drew Allen and
Eddy Chow took one off of Dylan Maudsley and Pedro Norte in an 8-1 setback.
Romano De Caprio and
Will Lewis had a rough go of it against Luke Brodsky and Campbell Gervais falling 8-0.
Singles (Diplomats 6-0)
Two Devils took two games off of their opponent in the opening set as Finnell (3rd) and Lewis (4th) both suffered 2-6, 0-6 losses to Samuel Donnelly and Daniel Feigelson respectively. Three other members of the Red and White grabbed a game in each set with Veleanu (1st), De Caprio (2nd) and Chow (5th) all falling by identical 1-6, 1-6 margins to Brodsky, Ashtiani, and Norte. With the match decided the two combatants in the sixth slot Soren Rudin-Aulenbach and Allen played a one-setter with the Diplomat collecting an 8-3 win.

Dickinson (7-4, 0-2 Centennial) returns to action on Saturday afternoon at 1pm when they host the Bears of Ursinus College in Centennial Conference play on the Hays Tennis Courts.
