CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson men's tennis went in search of snapping a three-match losing skid on Saturday afternoon by welcoming the Bears of Ursinus College to the Hays Tennis Courts for a Centennial Conference clash. Unfortunately, for the Red and White it would be the visitors who got the better of things as they collected a 7-2 win.
Doubles (Bears 2-1)
The lone win for the Devils came at the number three slot where
Drew Allen and
Eddy Chow held off Deniz Finkel and Teddy Snyder by a score of 8-6. The duo of
Romano De Caprio and
Will Lewis were done in by the same scoreline thanks to the team of Darby Rogers and Ethan Yu (6-8). The top team of
DJ Finnell and
Levi Veleanu grabbed two games from Lars Jespersen and Will Oberholtzer in an 8-2 loss.
Singles (Bears 5-1)
Allen secured the lone win for the Red and White in sixth spot knocking off Andrei Bogdan by scores of 7-5, 6-4. Finnell playing at three went the distance with Rogers, but fell in the deciding set 4-6. The top two positions occupied by Veleanu and De Caprio were each bested in straight sets by Jespersen (4-6, 3-6) and Yu (2-6, 5-7) respectively. Lewis (4th) pushed Snyder hard in the first falling 4-6, before dropping the second 1-6. Chow coming off his win in doubles was unable to pickup a singles matchup against Finkel falling 0-6, 2-6.

Dickinson (7-5, 0-3 Centennial) will try to get back to winning ways on Friday afternoon at 4pm when the Muhlenberg College comes calling to the Hays Tennis Courts for a conference matchup.
