CARLISLE, Pa. - The Dickinson women's tennis team was back in action on Tuesday afternoon at the Hays Tennis Courts for some Centennial Conference action against the visiting tenth-ranked Johns Hopkins University. Unfortunately, for the Red and White it would be the Blue Jays who got the better of the Devils posting a 9-0 win.
Doubles (Blue Jays 3-0)
The second pair of
Jenna Crain and
Dana Kleinman were the only DC unit to grab any games off the their opponents as they fell 8-3 to Catharina Ausfahl and Sydney Langer. The other two Dickinson teams of
Alisa Steele and
Bonnie Thomas (1st) and
Maddie Lindquist and
Molly Michel (3rd) were dealt 8-0 defeats by Ashley Chang and Lia Melvin as well as Zoe Hsieh and Bea Manjon.Â
Singles (Blue Jays 6-0)
Steele playing at the number two spot won the most games for Dickinson as Langer tripped her up 6-0, 6-4.
Sara Jaklitsch in the four slot claimed one game in each set against Hsieh falling 6-1, 6-1. Two other Devils were able to take one game off of their opponent with Crain (1st) dropping a 6-1, 6-0 match to Chang, while
Katharine van Kesteren went down 6-0, 6-1 versus Manjon.
Anabelle Armendarez (3rd) and Lindquist (5th) both lost 6-0, 6-0 to Melvin and Ausfahl respectively.

Dickinson (7-4, 1-2 Centennial) continues conference play on Friday afternoon at 4pm when the Mules of Muhlenberg College come calling to Carlisle.
