LANCASTER, Pa. -- The Dickinson men's swim team found success on day two of the Franklin & Marshall Invite on Saturday, November 22. Senior
James Wright dominated in the men's 100 Back, winning both preliminaries and finals.
Preliminaries Results
- The Red Devils opened the morning with the men's 400 IM where four swimmers punched their ticket to the evening's finals. Senior Paul Florio finished 13th overall in 4:16.37 with junior Ben Brandt following in 21st place with a time of 4:27.81. First-year swimmer Cole Newman qualified for finals as well with his 22nd place 4:30.80 finish, followed closely by sophomore Matthew Ferenz qualifying with his 24th place 4:33.64 finish.
- Next was the men's 100 Fly where Samson Qu qualified for finals with his ninth place, 50.89 finish.
- The men continued in the 100 Breast to send sophomore Joe Apat to finals with his 21st place 1:00.19 finish.
- Senior James Wright continued his dominant weekend by winning the 100 Back in 49.93, a new PR and just two seconds shy of a school record. First-year Paul Knecht also qualified, placing 15th and finishing in 53.39.
Finals Results
- Florio continued in the 400 IM B-Final, placing 14th in 4:17.30.
- Qu continued his weekend in the men's 100 Butterfly finals, leading the B-Final in ninth place with a time of 50.41.
- Wright continued his fantastic day in the 100 Back, winning the event overall with a speedy time of 49.73. First-year Knecht rounded out the B-Final with a 53.68, 16th place finish
