LANCASTER, Pa. - The Dickinson men's swim team returned for day two of the 2026 Centennial Conference Championships on Friday. The Red Devils recorded strong swims all around, with senior
James Wright and the 400 Medley Relay team breaking school records. After two days of competition, the team sits in fourth place with 148 points.
Prelim Results
- The Devils started with preliminaries for the 200 IM where senior James Wright took third in his heat and fourth overall to qualify with his 1:51.32 swim. He breaks a six-year school record with the performance, beating the previous 1:51.81 standard. Also qualifying for finals was senior Andrew Kelley with a 1:56.89 swim good for 15th place.
- In the 50 Free prelims, sophomore Samson Qu continued his success in the event with a fourth place, 20.51 finish to qualify for the evening's finals. Sophomore Lukas Nier recorded a great 21.61 swim for 18th place, but just missed out on finals by 0.2 seconds.
Finals Results
- Wright went on to break the record he had set that morning in the 200 IM finals. He lowered his time to a 1:51.01 to take fourth in his heat and fifth overall, setting a new PR. Kelley had a strong 1:55.75 swim to take fifth in his heat and 13th overall. The time sets a new PR, besting the 1:55.80 performance at last year's championships.
- The evening continued with the 50 Free finals, where Qu recorded a 20.52 finish for fifth in his heat and overall.
- Day two ended with the 400 Medley Relay, where the A Relay of Wright, Lukas Nier, Kelley, and Qu took fourth in their heat and overall with a time of 3:21.48. The time breaks a 14-year school record of 3:24.01 set in 2012.
