LANCASTER, Pa. - The Dickinson men's swimming team returned to day three of the Centennial Conference Championships on Saturday. Senior
James Wright broke his second individual record this weekend, besting his own 200 Free school record twice. Heading into the fourth and final day, the Red Devils are in fourth place with 219 points.
Prelim Results
- The 400 IM prelims opened competition on Saturday and qualified two Devils for finals. Senior Paul Florio finished 11th overall with his great 4:16.16 swim. Also qualifying with a 15th-place finish was junior Benjamin Brandt, recording a time of 4:28.11.
- In the 100 Fly prelims, sophomore Samson Qu notched a great sixth place finish with a 49.26 swim. The time is sets a new PR, besting his performance at the Gettysburg Invite earlier this season.Â
- Senior James Wright had a great performance in the 200 Free prelims to qualify for finals with a strong second-place showing. He swam a 1:39.98 which trims time off his school record and PR set at the Gettysburg Invite in December.Â
- The 100 Breast prelims saw sophomore Lukas Nier qualify with a great 15th place, 58.66 finish to set a new PR.Â
- Continuing to the 100 Back, first-year Paul Knecht punched his ticket to finals with a 14th place, 53.63 performance.
Finals Results
- Finals started with the 200 Free Relay, where the A Relay of Qu, Jack Engel, Nier, and Wright took fourth overall with a 1:23.94 finish.Â
- Florio continued in the 400 IM where he placed 11th with a  4:16.02 swim. In 16th place was Brandt with a time of 4:28.84.Â
- The 100 Fly featured Qu closing out the A-Final with an eighth place, 49.51 performance.
- In the 200 Free, Wright lowered the record he had set earlier with a 1:39.73 swim. The time is good for second place to earn him a silver medal and set a new PR.Â
- Continuing in the 100 Breast finals, Nier recorded a time of 59.04 to take 15th overall.
- Knecht lowered his 100 Back time to a 52.99 in finals to finish 13th overall.

Conference championships conclude tomorrow in a modified format due to impending weather.
