#15 Hoyas Too Much for Devils in MASC Championships Second Round

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Dickinson women's squash team slipped to 9-10 overall and 0-2 in the MASC championships with an 8-1 loss to the Georgetown University Hoyas at the Lancaster Country Day School on Saturday afternoon. They will now play in the 5th and 6th playoff match tomorrow afternoon.

Inside the Match
The lone win for the Red Devils came in the first flight, with Sophomore Anne Leakey winning in a tight three setter. Leakey improves to 16-3 on the season with this victory. Sophomore Katie Herring almost claimed the second win for the Red Devils. She battles back from 2-1 down to take it to a deciding game, but was unable to get it done, losing 11-8 in the fifth. An overall outstanding performance from Herring, despite the loss. Junior Anna O'Connor was also able to clinch a game for the Red and White, taking the first game before closely losing the next three games. First-year Gabi El-Masry was almost able to steal the third game in the third flight, but Curran closed it out 11-8. Lauren Flowers was able to make her Top-9 debut for the Red Devils, where she played well and learned a lot with the experience.
