- McDaniel got to Walker right away in the home-half using two doubles and a single through the first three batters to claim a 2-1 edge. Walker then locked in getting a lineout, strikeout and a pickoff to retire the side.
- After a scoreless second, the visitors got on even terms during the top of the third against Harach. Nathan Bowman opened things up with a double to left-center, before two hitters later Markley stroked a two-bagger down the right-field line making it 2-2.
- Walker would return to the mound and post a much needed shutdown inning recording two flyouts and a strikeout.

Â
- Dickinson would get a two-out walk from Kyle Bailey, but Christian Kim popped up to second ending the frame.
- With one gone, McDaniel reclaimed the lead with a solo shot off the stick of Joey Hubinger. Thomas Mezzullo then doubled to left-center and went to third on a failed pickoff attempt by Walker. However, the Devils pitcher got Quinn Dean to watch strike three and DJ Stolba to lineout for the final out.
- Following a quiet top of the fifth, Walker opened up the home-half by forcing Matt Fuller to ground back to the mound. Ethan Haddock singled to left, before Shane Daly deposited a pitch over the left-field wall to push the lead to 5-2. Next up was Ben Davis who ripped a triple to deep center. That was the end of the day for Walker as he was replaced by Ben Myers. He would be greeted with a sacrifice fly to right from Shea McKenna for a 6-2 edge entering the sixth.
- Dickinson would pick up two singles each during the sixth and seventh, but were unable to scratch any across. Then, in the top-half of the inning, Kaden Sigmon walked and Luke Gartland was hit by a pitch to put two on with no one out. Unfortunately, two flyouts and a strikeout prevented the Devils from getting back into the game.
