Anabel Romero continues to be a catalyst for the Red and White as she picked up her seventh win of the campaign which moves her into a tie for number one in the national individual rankings with a 7-0 record.
Inside the Match
Romero playing at the top of the ladder began the day with a 3-0 win over Charlotte Tobin. She opened the match by not allowing a point to Tobin, before allowing just ten points over the final two games to claim the victory. A slot down
Katie Herring also only gave up ten points to Hope Fireison in a 3-0 triumph. Dickinson continued to keep rolling along on the day with
Victoria Savelius knocking off Adriana Ordaya in consecutive games. Then, at the fourth and fifth spots
Thea Hegde and
Gabi El-Masry surrendered a combined 19 points to Sarah Boucher-Rowe and Lexi Donshik respectively in a pair of 3-0 wins.
Grace Miller playing at number six dropped the first game to Iesha DeSilva, before grabbing the ensuing three games. DeSilva returned to the court to take on
Morgan Wheeler in the eight slot, but it was the Devil who secured the match in five including a dominant 11-0 victory in the decisive fifth game. Unfortunately, for the Red and White they were prevented from the shutout by Ariadni Markantonaki Kouletaki as she knocked off
Lauren Flowers in five.
