Inside the Game
- Dickinson got on the board right away when with one gone in the last of the first singles for Dylan Posencheg and Kevin Schmidt provided the opportunity for Johnny Bruno to drive in the first run. A flyout and pickoff prevented the Devils from adding on to their lead.
- Strong pitching from Ross kept the score right where it was at 1-0 as the game entered the last of the third. Following a groundout for Josh Markley, Posencheg sent the ball out of the park before two batters later Bruno came up with the second homer of the inning to give DC a 3-0 advantage going to the fourth.
- In the top of the fourth, a leadoff single, wild pitch, stolen base and a walk had men on the corners with no outs. Tyler O'Brien and Seth Bivens both produced RBI groundouts to pull Wilson within one 3-2 going to the bottom-half. Dickinson was not able to come up with a run in response as Supensky set down the Devils in order.
- Ross ran into some issues during the fifth allowing a pair of one-out singles, before getting Samuel Martin to line into a double-play. He then put away the Phoenix "1-2-3" an inning later to hold it at 3-2.
- The top of the seventh saw Sam Bliss enter from the bullpen and allowed a leadoff walk to Bivens. However, he settled down fast inducing three straight groundouts. After another quiet frame for the DC offense, Bliss used two strikeouts and a groundout to close out the top of the eighth.
- With two down during the last of the inning, Luke Gartland ripped a single through the left side. He then swiped second base which set the stage for an RBI double to right-center for Miguel Reich pushing the lead to 4-2 heading to the ninth.
- A leadoff single for O'Brien put the tying run in the box, but two more strikeouts and a groundout ended the game.

Inside the Game
- Each team would make their way onto the scoreboard in the first as two singles for the Phoenix gave them a 1-0 lead. However, Dickinson answered in a big way in the home-half as Markley and Schmidt were hit by pitches, while Posencheg singled up the box to fill the cushions. That brought Bruno to the dish and he continued his big day with a two-run single. Next up was Kyle Bailey who homered making it 5-1. Reich then worked a walk, prior to scoring three batters later when with Freeman Hun at the play a wild pitch let him race home for a 6-1 edge after one.
- A quiet top of the second gave way to another huge frame for the Red and White scoring eight times. Walks to Schmidt and Bruno led to an RBI single for Bailey. Reich then followed with an infield RBI single. After Gartland was plunked, a passed ball plated one and a two-run double off the bat of Ethan Sodl extended the lead to 11-1. A single and error produced one more run, before RBIs from Bruno and Bailey made it 14-1 through two.
- Dickinson was not done though as a two-bagger from Gartland and free pass to Hunt resulted in a wild pitch with Markley at-bat led to another crossing. A base hit for Markley and walk drawn by Posencheg put men everywhere for Schmidt. He would be hit by a pitch to grab a hard earned RBI, while Bruno followed with an RBI groundout giving DC a 17-1 lead.
- After Buzza was excellent on the hill for the Red and White for the first five innings he gave way to Ben Myers in the sixth who set aside Wilson in order. The scoring continued for DC during the home portion as a double from Ben Milligan and error allowing Aydin Prell to reach had two on for Ryan O'Connor. He came up with an RBI to plate one, which was then followed by a sacrifice fly for Will Scibona. Matt Conforti, Shawn Arneja and Prell will add RBIs later in the frame to make it 23-1.
- Charlie Bien took over for Myers in the seventh and induced three consecutive groundouts to end the game.
