Devils Not Able to Overcome #3 Spartans

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Dickinson men's tennis team returned to action on Wednesday afternoon with a tough matchup against the third-ranked Case Western Reserve University. Despite a strong effort from the Red and White it was the Spartans that posted a 7-0 non-conference win at Sanlando Park.

Doubles (Spartans 3-0 | Count as one point in team score)
All three matches ended with identical scorelines as Lucas Bogle-David Daraban (1st), Drew Allen-Eddy Chow (2nd) and Sandro Buskhrikidze-Ryan Whiting (3rd) all suffered 6-2 defeats to their respective opponents.

Singles (Spartans 6-0)
The first match to come to a close was at number five where Jack Weaver dropped a 6-0, 6-0 decision to Glen Ngo. Allen (3rd) claimed one game from Xander Jhaveri, while Aidan MacIntosh nabbed two off of Benjamin Fernandez on the six line. Both Daraban and Bogle playing at number one and two won five games from Konrad Kwiatkowski and Marko McRae respectively. Rounding out the match was Buskhrikidze in the four spot. He would push hard during the first set against Shay Gupta, before dropping the match 6-4, 6-2.

Dickinson (1-8) will wrap-up their Florida trip on Thursday morning at 8:30am when they battle the University of Wisconsin-Superior on the courts of the Oak Street Community Park.
