Inside the Game
  • Each team picked up a hit in the first, but neither side was able to scratch a run across.
  • Both Amelia Plescia and Abby Kohan singled during the second putting two on with one out. Unfortunately, both Aubrey Coyle and Alex Johnson were struck out to retire the side. The home-half saw Anna Evanchik leadoff with a single, before a strikeout and two fly outs prevented any damage.
  • Plescia and Johnson both recorded a base hit over the next two innings, but were left stranded on base. On the other side of the diamond, Kohan was outstanding in the circle as she pitched five scoreless frames.
  • In the sixth, singles for Jane Lloyd and Erin McMahon had two on with one out for Plescia. She continued her strong game by smoking a double to left plating two, before Johnson produced an RBI single later in the frame making it 3-0. The Bears got one back in the home-half thanks to a walk and an RBI two-bagger for Reagan Robinson.
  • Kohan went to the circle during the last of seventh trying to lock up the win. Keelie Hancock began with a single to center. However, Riley Coneeny lined into a double play and Christa Andrusiewicz watched strike three to end the game.

Pitching Decision: W - Lucy Wolf (5-9) | L - Erin McMahon (1-8)
Inside the Game
  • Singles by Jessie Sandusky and Aubrey Gilbert opened the game. A fielder's choice from Lloyd left runners on the corners for McMahon. During her at-bat both runners swiped a bag taking a 1-0 lead, before she made it 2-0 with a groundout to short. A single and double in the home-half plated one for the Bears to cut it down to 2-1 after one.
  • Dickinson tried to add on during the second as a two-bagger from Plescia and single for Coyle had two on with one gone. Wolf then dug deep and recorded a strikeout and fly out ending the threat. Ursinus then took a 3-2 edge in the bottom-half as a hit batter, single, error and sacrifice fly provided the offense for the home side.
  • The score stayed that way into the fifth as a single for Gilbert and an error allowing McMahon to reach had runners on the corners with two away. Unfortunately, a groundout for Marah Goldman ended the frame.
  • The Bears added one more during the last of the sixth to take a 4-2 lead. Then in the seventh, Lloyd walked with two away, but a strikeout of McMahon ended the game.
