Inside the Game
  • Following a scoreless first, Erin McMahon posted a "three-up, three-down" top of the second to give her offense a chance to get going. Two batters later Raefski delivered an RBI single to center (5-0), before Gilbert plated her with a knock to right.
  • The Red and White continued to add onto their advantage during the last of the fourth, as a walk to Goldman led to an RBI single by Kohan. Coyle then ripped a single to center putting runners on the corners with two away for Sandusky. A wild pitch let one cross to take the lead to 8-0 prior to a triple off the stick of Sandusky plating Coyle (9-0).
  • With the Diplomats facing last call in the fifth, Abby Favazza was hit by a pitch to start the frame, but she went no further as a strikeout and two fly outs ended the game.
