(Lancaster, Pa.) – The Dickinson College women's tennis team posted a 9-0 win at Franklin & Marshall on Thursday afternoon. The Red Devils improved to 7-8 overall and 5-5 in the Centennial Conference.
Sophomore Alysia Rodgers (Bethesda, Md./Walter Johnson) captured first singles, (6-1, 6-0), and teamed with first-year Shannon Lavery (Huntington, W. Va./Huntington) for an 8-4.
Senior Joelle Nitzberg (W. Windsor, N.J./W. Windsor Plainsboro S.) claimed two points, winning in the second singles flight, (1-6, 6-1, 1-0 (13-11)). She joined classmate Carla Cox (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) for an 8-2 win in doubles.
Senior Sarah Woodward (Scarsdale, N.Y./Eastchester) also earned two points with an 8-1 win in doubles and a 6-1, 6-0 decision in the fourth singles flight.
