Homa held the Garnet to just hits in the opener, recording 12 strikeouts while allowing just two walks. She surrendered six hits in the nightcap, but added 10 more strikeouts to her career total as well, while allowing one walk to earn the win in game two.

The Devils scored four runs in the third inning after Mikesell led-off with a single. Owens reached on an error as she looked to lay down a sacrifice bunt. Haines drew a walk to load the bases with nobody out.

Carly Jordan (Medford, N.J./Shawnee) reached on fielder's choice and advanced on an error, scoring Mikesell and Owens to put the Devils on the board. Melissa Osborn (Stevensville, Md./Kent Island) and Jay Abell (Glenn Dale, Md./Elizabeth Seton) added RBIs in the inning as well, stretching the lead to 4-0.

Abell singled in the fifth and came in to score on a single from Mikesell. Haines added a solo homer in the sixth to stretch the lead to 6-0.

Haines went 2-for-3 with a pair of runs scored and an RBI. Abell went 2-for-3, driving in a run and scoring another. Mikesell added a pair of hits in the nightcap as well.
