(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson College women's tennis team improved to 14-3 on the season and 7-2 in Centennial Conference play, posting a rain-shortened, 8-0 win over Franklin & Marshall on Wednesday.

The team played singles first due to the threat of rain and jumped out to a 6-0 lead, surviving a pair of third-set tie-breakers.

Alysia Rodgers (Bethesda, Md./Walter Johnson) claimed the top spot in straight sets to improve to 12-3 on the year. Shannon Lavery (Huntington, W. Va./Huntington) captured the second flight, (6-1, 6-0). They combined for the doubles win in the top spot to raise their season mark to 11-4.

Nora Hajnoczky (Wallingford, Conn./Strath Haven) and Madeline Altholtz (Cohasset, Mass./Cohasset) earned the point in the third doubles flight and claimed victories in singles as well.

The Red Devils are currently a half-match behind Swarthmore in the Centennial Conference standings. They are home again on Saturday, hosting Muhlenberg College at 1:00 pm.
