(Ewing, N.J.) – The Dickinson women's tennis team suffered a 6-3 setback to unbeaten College of New Jersey (7-0), in its spring opener on Saturday.

Sydney Diamond (Westford, Mass./Westford Academy) and Claire Stoner (Shelburne, Vt./Champlain Valley Union) claimed second doubles, 8-6 while Shannon Lavery (Huntington, W. Va./Huntington) and Madeline Altholtz (Cohasset, Mass./Cohasset) suffered a tough loss in the top doubles flight, 9-7.

First-year Madison Parks (Denton, Md./North Caroline) survived a three-set match in the fourth singles flight, 4-6, 6-3, 10-7 while classmate Joana Nunes (Carcavelos, Portugal/St. Julian's School) captured the sixth flight, 7-5, 6-1.

The Red Devils travel to Salisbury University next Saturday, and then continue to Hilton Head for spring break matches the following week.
