(Gettysburg, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's tennis team came away with an 8-1 victory at Gettysburg on Thursday, winning all but one singles flight.
Madison Parks (Denton, Md./North Caroline) won the second flight 6-3, 6-1, and joined Joana Nunes (Carcarvelos, Portugal/St. Julian's School) to claim the top singles flight, 8-3.
Stuart Lemay (Harwich Port, Mass./Westover) and Sarah Cantor (Providence, R.I./The Wheeler School) won the third and fourth flights in straight sets, and joined forces to win number two doubles, 8-3.
Elizabeth Marin (Camp Hill, Pa./Cumberland Valley) and Emily Sprague (South Burlington, Vt./Bluffton) claimed the third doubles flight, 8-4. Sprague battled in the five spot, winning 6-1, 2-6, 10-3. Marin kept the slate clean for the Devils, rallying to win a hard fought sixth flight, 4-6, 6-4, 10-6.
The Red Devils improve to 4-6 overall and 3-3 in the Centennial Conference. They return home to face Ursinus College tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 pm.
