Reading, Pa.) – The Dickinson softball team dropped its final two games at Albright College on Thursday night. The Lions claimed the opener 5-1 and took game two, 3-0.

Albright scored lone runs in each of the first two innings. Brianne Long beat out an infield single and moved to second on a single from Kaela Romano. After a sacrifice bunt, Long put the Lions on the board as Nicki Russo grounded out.

The Lions loaded the bases with three singles and Romano tallied an RBI, drawing a walk, to stretch the lead to 2-0.

The Red Devils answered with a run in the third after Katie Swade (New Freedom, Pa./Susquehannock) and Nicole Torlincasi (King's Park, N.Y./King's Park) came through with back-to-back singles. Casey Ditzler (Cleona, Pa./Annville-Cleona) slipped one through the right side to scored Swade and put the Devils on the board.

Albright tacked on three in the fifth behind a pair of doubles, including a two-RBI shot from Armida Roman. Long added an RBI single to score Roman for the final of 5-1.

Swade went 3-for-4 with a runs scored while Torlincasi added a pair of hits as well.

In game two, Cullen doubled to lead-off the third inning and scored for after moving on a sacrifice and an RBI single from Long. Russo singled to start the fourth and eventually scored on an RBI rip from Sera Stull.

Long reached again to open the fifth and moved to second on a single from Romano. Russo drew a walk to load the bases and Regina Millburn singled to tally the final run of the game.

Swade recorded another hit as Sammi O'Connor held the Devils to just three hits. Becca Garlinger (Enola, Pa./East Pennsboro) and Torlincasi added singles as well.

The Red Devils close out the season 15-20 overall.
