(Lancaster, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's tennis team suffered a 9-0 setback at #11-Regionally ranked Franklin & Marshall on Thursday afternoon. Weather forced the match indoors, but it did not affect the Diplomats as they improve to 11-4 overall and 7-2 in the Centennial Conference.
Madison Parks (Denton, Md./North Caroline) challenged in the second singles flight, falling 6-4, 6-3. Stuart Lemay (Harwich Port, Mass./Westover) took four games in the first set, but dropped her match in the third flight.
Parks teamed with Joana Nunes (Carcavelos, Portugal/St. Julien's School) in the top doubles spot, claiming four points off Caitlin Rummelsburg and Sara Haas. The Diplomats swept the doubles matches, winning three and four with identical, 8-2 scores.
The Red Devils slip to 4-8 overall and 3-6 in the Centennial Conference. They wrap up the season on Saturday, traveling to Muhlenberg College for a 1:00 pm match.
