(Baltimore, Md.) – The Dickinson women's tennis team suffered a 5-0 setback at Johns Hopkins in the Centennial Conference semifinals on Saturday afternoon. The Blue Jays, ranked 13th-nationally and #4 in the Atlantic South Region, jumped out to a 3-0 lead in doubles and secured the match with a pair of singles wins.
Senior Sydney Diamond (Westford, Mass./Westford Academy) and sophomore Lauren Altschuler (Malvern, Pa./Eastern) fell to #7-ranked Mikey Barthelmass and Ashnaa Rao in the top doubles flight.
Sunaina Vohra and Anna Kankanala posted wins in the second and fifth flights to close out the match.
The Blue Jays improve to 16-4 overall and will advance to Sunday's final. The Red Devils finish the season 10-6 overall.
