(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson softball team celebrated an early Senior Day, sweeping Swarthmore College to improve to 4-0 in the Centennial Conference. The Red Devils honored seniors Michelle Orden (Hillsdale, N.J./Pascack Valley) and Nicole Torlincasi (Kings Park, N.Y./Kings Park) between games as they won the opener, 7-1, and claimed a 1-0 thriller in the nightcap.

The Garnet pushed across one in the top of the sixth with singles from Sara Planthaber and Elizabeth Curcio.
Parise went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and three runs scored in the opener while Clayton finished 2-for-3 with three RBIs, scoring once as well.

Junior Frankie Ponziani turned in a solid pitching performance for Swarthmore in the nightcap, as both teams went scoreless through five innings.
Torlincasi singled to start the sixth inning and moved all the way to third in a sacrifice bunt. She scored the lone run as Lane reached on an error to give the Devils a 1-0 lead.
The Garnet threatened with runners on first and third in the top of the seventh but the Devils held. Brenowitz made a great catch at the edge of the backstop to end the game.
Torlincasi led the way in game two, going 2-for-3 with the game-winning run. Jessica Epstein (Madison, N.J./Madison) had the Devils' only other hit as Ponziani allowed just three hit in the loss.
