(Allentown, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's tennis team changed locations and traveled to Muhlenberg College to play indoors on Tuesday afternoon. The match was played to decision with the Red Devils claiming a 5-0 victory.
The Red Devils swept the doubles matches for a 3-0 start and posted wins in the first and third singles flights to close out the match. Junior Lauren Altschuler (Malvern, Pa./Eastern) led the way, surrendering just one game on the day.
She joined first-year Olivia Shea (West Hartford, Conn./Kingswood Oxford) for an 8-0 win in the second doubles flight and claimed the top singles flight (6-0, 6-1).
Seniors Joana Nunes (Carcavelos, Portugal/St. Julian's) and Madison Parks (Denton, Pa./North Caroline) earned the point in the top doubles flight, 8-3, while Lydia Fox (Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Arlington) and Jaclyn Baum (Ashland, Mass./Ashland) won the second flight, 8-2.
Parks added her second point of the day with a straight set win in the third singles flight, (6-0, 6-0).
The Red Devils improve to 4-9 overall and 3-5 in the Centennial Conference. They return home to face Gettysburg College on Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 pm.
