Red Devils Drop 7-2 Decision at F&M

(Lancaster, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision at Franklin & Marshall on Wednesday afternoon.

Senior Joana Nunes (Carcavelos, Portugal/St. Julian's) claimed a three-set win in the second singles flight, (6-3, 4-6, 11-9). Classmate Madison Parks (Denton, Md./North Caroline) claimed the third flight in straight sets, (6-4, 6-1).

Lauren Altschuler (Malvern, Pa./Eastern) put up a challenge in the top flight, suffering a tight, 6-3, 7-6 setback.

The Red Devils played close matches at number one and number two doubles as well. The Diplomats, ranked 12th in the Atlantic South Region, improve to 8-4 overall and 4-0 in the Centennial Conference.

The Red Devils slip to 1-6 overall and 0-3 in the conference. They return home to host Ursinus College at 1:00 pm on Saturday.
