(Gettysburg, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's tennis team turned in a strong performance at Gettysburg, posting a 7-2 win over the Bullets on Wednesday afternoon.
Lauren Altschuler (Malvern, Pa./Eastern) and Lexi Epstein (Falmouth, Maine/Waynflete) claimed an 8-3 win in the top doubles spot as the Red Devils opened a 3-0 lead.
Altschuler earned the point at number one singles (6-4, 6-0) while Epstein clinched the match with a 6-1, 6-2 decision in the third flight.
Hanna Butler (Gibson Island, Md./Severn School) captured the second singles flight (6-2, 6-3) while Kirsten Brodeen (Fort Collins, Colo./Rocky Mountain) posted a (7-5, 6-3) win for a singles point in the sixth flight.
Butler partnered with Olivia Shea (West Hartford, Conn./Kingswood Oxford) for an 8-6 win in doubles while Neve Brennan (Bala Cynwyd, Pa./Lower Merion) and Emily Sprague (South Burlington, Vt./South Burlington) had a dominant win in doubles as well, going 8-1 at the three spot.
The Red Devils are on the road on Saturday, traveling to Haverford College for a 1:00 pm start.
