Women's Tennis

Women's Tennis Wins 9-0 on Monday

(Allentown, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's tennis team posted a 9-0 win at Muhlenberg College on Tuesday.

The Red Devils had a strong start in doubles. Lauren Altschuler (Malvern, Pa./Eastern) and Lexi Epstein (Falmouth, Maine/Waynflete) posted an 8-2 win the top flight.

Hanna Butler (Gibson Island, Md./Severn School) and Olivia Shea (West Hartford, Conn./Kingswood Oxford) had a dominant 8-1 win in the second flight while first-years Neve Brennan (Bala Cynwyd, Pa./Lower Merion) and Kirsten Brodeen (Fort Collins, Colo./Rocky Mountain) went 8-2 in the third.

Emily Sprague (South Burlington, Vt./South Burlington) and Julia Poster (Irvington, N.Y./The Masters School) earned straight set wins at third and fourth singles, respectively. Poster did not surrender a point in a 6-0, 6-0 victory.

Butler and Shea posted wins in the top two singles flights after the Mules retired when the match was decided, losing two players to injury, forcing forfeits at five and six.

The Red Devils improve to 8-9 overall and 4-5 in the Centennial Conference.
