(Collegeville, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's tennis team spoiled senior day for the Bears, posting a 7-2 victory at Ursinus College on Saturday.
The Red Devils jumped out to an early lead, claiming all three doubles matches. Senior Lauren Altschuler (Malvern, Pa./Eastern) and first-year Lexi Epstein (Falmouth, Maine/Waynflete) held on for an 8-6 win in the top flight.
Olivia Shea (West Hartford, Conn./Kingswood Oxford) and Hanna Butler (Gibson Island, Md./Severn School) outlasted Ariel Danziger and Madeson Harvey, 9-7, in the number two spot.
Epstein added a point with a 6-3, 6-3 decision in the third singles flight while Shea posted a 6-3, 6-1 victory at number four.
Emily Sprague (South Burlington, Vt./South Burlington) and Elisa Varlotta (Pittsburgh, Pa./Brashear) closed out the match with strong wins at five and six as Sprague went 6-1, 6-1 while Varletta posted an 8-3 win.
The Red Devils improve to 5-7 overall and 1-3 in the Centennial Conference. They return home to host McDaniel College on Tuesday afternoon at 4:00 pm.
