Red Devils Turn Back Owls 6-3

(Carlisle, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's tennis team held off visiting Bryn Mawr, 6-3, on Saturday afternoon.

The Red Devils jumped out to a 2-1 advantage, claiming the second and third doubles flights.

Lexi Epstein (Falmouth, Maine/Waynflete) and Emily Sprague (South Burlington, Vt./South Burlington) earned the point at number two with an 8-2 win while Hanna Butler (Gibson Island, Md./Severn School) and Neve Brennan (Bala Cynwyd, Pa./Lower Merion) posted an 8-5 victory in the third.

The Owls earned points with wins at first and second singles, but the Red Devils would dominate the final four flights.

Butler did not surrender a point, going (6-0, 6-0) in the three-spot. Senior Lydia Fox (Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Arlington) allowed just one point in the fifth, going (6-0, 6-1).

The Red Devils improve to 5-4 overall and 2-1 in the Centennial Conference. They travel to Gettysburg College on Wednesday for a 4:00 pm start.
